As a child growing up in Southern California, when most kids were busy skateboarding, going to the beach or hanging up Keith Partridge posters in their bedroom, you could most likely find me re-reading a Little House book and obsessing about all things Laura Ingalls Wilder. I was the girl that actually belonged to the Laura Ingalls Wilder fan club at the local library.
Once upon a time there was a china closet that was the centerpiece in my parents living room. For 20 years it took center stage in all of its white wash oak glory. Mom had it filled with her Dutch Delft collection, Italian Capodimonte flowers and crystal and more crystal. Each collectible had a story and Mom would love to share the history of each and every piece.
his last week I have been gathering all the new decor items for my master bedroom makeover and laid everything out on my dining room table. I had a real struggle landing on the lamps I wanted for the bedside table. I absolutely loved the glass bottle lamp with the woven grass shade but I am pretty sure it's going to be much too large for the bedside tables.
Last year my husband and I realized one of our dreams and purchased this vacation home in Sunriver, Oregon. Sunriver is actually a vacation resort (near Bend) located in the foothills of the Cascade mountain range along the Deschutes river in Central Oregon. Unlike other areas of Oregon, Sunriver gets 300 days of sunshine a year and is an outdoor lovers paradise.
